Hi, my name is Janice and I took over the duties of Office Manager from Diane Byrd in September, and will be working on a part-time basis for thetime being, mainly Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with some flexibility, when needed.

I was born in Lafayette, living here until my teen years, when I moved up to the suburbs of Chicago. When I became pregnant with my oldest daughter,I decided that I wanted to move back to Lafayetteand raise my children near my family. As a singlemother of 2 bright & inquisitive daughters, I  was inspired to further my education by enrolling at Purdue when they were toddlers, finally graduating from Ivy Tech Community College in 1997 with an Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems – OfficeManagement....

WOW, a lot has changed on campus since then! My oldest daughter Amy graduated from Purdue in 2013 and is now married and living in Vancouver, WA, working to complete her Master’sDegree to become a teacher. My youngest daughter Nikki lives in Frankfort and is the night shift manager at McDonalds.

In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, history, reading, sewing, as well as
camping and motorcycling. I obtained my motorcycle endorsement and my first motorcycle after taking the motorcycle safety training course through ABATE of Indiana in 2007, then became involved with  eventually becoming the Region 4 Director and serving on the Board of Directors since 2008.

ABATE stands for American BikersAimed Towards Education and I have worked with this organization to advocate for motorcycle awareness, safety training and charitable fundraising for many years. Although I no longer own my own motorcycle, I still enjoy the freedom and excitement of motorcycling, and continue to participant in off-road motorcycling and four-wheeling.

I am excited to be embarking on a new phase in my life and career here at The Found, and am looking forward to discovering God’s next
purpose in my journey.
